First Generation of Powers Family
1. Jesse POWERS1 was born May 1810 in South Carolina. He died 1901 in Otoe County Farm, Nebraska and was buried at the Otoe County Farm Cemetery, Nebraska.
Jesse married (1) Sarah "Sallie" CREASMAN about 1830. Sarah was born about 1810 in North Carolina. She died BET 1860 AND 1864 in Buncombe County, NC.
They had the following children:
+ 2. F i Sophronia POWERS was born about 1833 in North Carolina.
+ 3. M ii William Riley POWERS was born Jul 1838 and died 9 Oct 1916.
+ 4. F iii Sarepla POWERSwas born about 1837 in North Carolina.
+ 5. M iv John POWERSwas born about 1841 in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
+ 6. F v Mary Ann POWERS was born 31 May 1846 and died 14 Feb 1918.
+ 7. F vi Sarah C. "Sallie" POWERS was born about 1850 and died 8 Jul 1928.
+ 8. F vii Julia POWERS was born about 1852 in Buncombe County, NC.
Jesse also married (2) Malinda J. TAYLOR, daughter of John B. TAYLOR and Mary CARTER, about 1864. Malinda was born about 1844 in Buncombe County, NC. She died 1889 at the Otoe County Farm, Nebraska.
They had the following children:

+ 10. F ix Luana POWERS was born about 1866 in North Carolina.
+ 11. F x Louisa POWERS was born about 1869 in North Carolina.
